Overview

This is our experimental source system that is housed at Nikon in Tring. The spot size is much smaller than the 450 kV system, enabling smaller dense parts to be imaged with unparalleled resolution. Further, it can easily penetrate 60 mm of steel and 200 mm of aluminium making it particularly suitable for large castings, and also previously unworkable Inconel samples. Similarly, it houses a curved-linear detector array (CLDA) meaning it can accommodate objects up to 650 mm in diameter.
