The facility has a number of in-situ testing apparatus that are designed to be placed inside the X-ray CT scanners and enable “in-situ” time-lapse scanning of processes such as deformation, fluid flow, and temperature changes. The testing stages are stored in our dedicated “rig room”, where they can be used outside of the X-ray CT instruments to prepare for beamtime or for standalone testing.
