Custom X-ray Phase Contrast Scanner

Overview

This is a custom-built phase-contrast tomography scanner capable of multi-contrast tomography (absorption, phase and dark-field). It features a field of view of approximately 3 cm x 5 cm and can operate at 10 – 100 micron spatial resolution. Scanning times range from minutes (lower resolution) to hours (higher resolution). It best suits soft tissue specimens and light-element materials such as plastics and carbon-fibre-based composites.
